Got a proper shakedown ride today ~12 miles. Almost ate **** due to bars not tight enough on a small drop, grips also needed some tightening plus seatpost slipped a bit causing some knee pain. Drive side tension slipped a tiny bit as well.

2011 Rockhopper 29. I’ve had it for 12 years now but haven’t ridden in about 6 of them. Just put new wheels and handlebar on.

Yesterdays cruise, 11km-60min-650m up to a back country hut, 20min back

PB's on almost all the segments on the way back.
The GC's didn't feel fast and I thought it'd be a couple of min slower than it was.
Slower on the straighter bits than Mezcals or Ikons but more than made up for it in the corners. It didn't feel sketchy, so my brain said "must be slow".

A Fasttrak/Renegade combo would be even faster/lighter for racing but these will do nicely in the meantime.

Went under-biking tonight on my singlespeed 1989 Fisher Advance on a ride with my wife. It was a blast and made an otherwise tame trail way more fun. We counted 54 Puff Ball mushrooms with volleyball size being the average.
