Racing Bros. Two different sets. On a 3rd set now unfortunately but after 4 rides so far they’re still working as they should. can’t find the other pic I took of oil running down the back of the lowers headed right towards my caliper.

Just ordered another set of SKF greens. I’m kicking myself for forgetting about the new dual compound ones. Guess I’ll try those when the standard ones I just bought need replacing
The 36mm dual compound seal is only available in flangeless currently I believe.

I put Enduro hyglide seal on my 34 factory. The air escaped from the lowers in 10 hour of use and the vacuum sucked the fork down. Opened up the fork a few time to relubw the seals but the same problem occured. The solution was to put new oem skf seals back. Never buying those enduro seals again.

Trelleborg seal work ok, but the seal life is quite short. They have a tendency to let 20wt gold and supergliss 100k past the seal quite pretty fast.

I wouldn’t call Racing Brother wipers a seal. I tested those during fall and the fork felt **** in no time. Opened the fork and lower leg bushings contaminated with mud.

After all these failures, I desided not to even bother to try anything else than SKF seals. They just operate as intended with no added friction.

Okay, this is a new one. If the seals caused the fork to suck down because they were leaking air out, they would have also leaked oil out. The seals were either sealing or they were leaking. I'm afraid something else was going on.

Below are two picture with the 3 available SKF seals for Rockshox 35mm forks:
1. Gray: Original Rockshox from Lyrik Ultimate 2023
2. Green: SKF green
3. Green/red: SKF dual compound

From close look and by touch they do feel quite similar, with may be the SKF dual compound being a bit softer for the red part, but that may be my imagination. Installed the SKF dual seal today, but I am a bit skeptical that there will be any noticeable difference between the three.

The amount of self lubricating compound is what matters along with the seal design. Most are made by the same companies. It usually takes several rides to wear in the seals and remove the surface layer.

Have you ridden the SKF dual compound seals yet? What did you think?

It's funny how for someone there's always an explanation of what's going on with your fork that basically never involves the seals. Yet, all these people sharing their bad experiences have always one thing in common, and that is an Enduro or Racing Bros wiper seal... Make of that what you will🤣

I will never buy anything else other than SKF too.

Ive used the Enduro original seals, Ari seals and Hy Glide seals without issue. They were all on a coil forks though and I ride in a dry moondust/loam forest and dusty Southwest desert and rarely in the wet. I've also had no issues with MRP seals. Again, on a coil fork in those same conditions.

Just curious what you're using for bath oil? For example the MRP seals can't hold back supergliss so you may be using something thinner and not as tacky.

I've been running Golden Spectro 7.5 since 1997 and have many quarts of it. I use it in the Ribbon coil although I've never rebuilt the damper. For the bath oil, MRP says 30cc's of 5-10 weight so I'm right in there. Ribbons get poo poo'd but the coil works like a coil should. Most complaints are for the air fork. I have just enough preload, almost no compression or ramp and the rebound dialed how I like it. It rides right in the middle of travel and I get full travel on big hits. I also get no streaking on the stanchions. I'm runing the Hy Glide seals now just to try them out since I was placing a multiple parts and tool order from RWC. No complaints so far, except the weather is perfect and I have two broken ribs. I think I may quit skateboarding ramps as I hit my mid 50s.
