Hi, does anyone know the weights of the different T series models? Yeti has them listed as all roughly 33lbs but the reviewers are weighinbg the T1 at 34.5-35.5 lbs. Am confused as to what the real weight is? only the T1 is available here in the UK.

Just built up and weighed my T1 build…

Size medium
Upgraded to GX AXS
Tannus tubeless insert in the rear
Carbon bottle cage
Saint pedals

36.5 LBs. Slightly disappointed with the weight coming off my Hightower, but only one short ride so far so I can’t really say if I notice it or not.

I'm sure we all know it costs to get bikes lighter. But you can drop some weight in the wheels, you can drop weight on dropper posts (PNW makes a decently light one), you can drop weight with cranks (Carbon or Titanium), and of course tires. Some weight can be dropped in the shock, DPX vs X2 or Rockshox Delux Ultimate. Also, XTR is lighter than the Sram Transmission but its not offered in build kits. Oh yeah, XTR brakes are also lightest last I checked. I don't now, I doubt we would see an SB160 under 32 unless its a small with all the high end goods.

Crazy to say the Hightower is lighter, I used to think my Hightower was heavy and that frame over beefed up. But all things being equal, I'm sure the SB160 is a lighter frame in comparison to the Megatower.

Just built her up yesterday, 32.98 Lbs. I did not use carbon wheels on this build, but my size large SB150 with Nox carbon wheels and I9 proprietary spokes and hubs was 30.89 Lbs. Both bikes have similar XX1 Eagle cranks, shifters, derailleurs, cassettes, Fox Grip2 170s, OneUp bars, I9 stems, (Guide Ultimates on 150 and Codes on 160), XT trail pedals, etc.

that's a good weight. interested to know the full build components. am going to go custom, instead, too, i think.

Congrats, it looks amazing. On the new build, is that front tire a DHR and rear tire DHF? Are they EXO+ casing?
Was the sb150 running Exo+ tires as well? Just trying to figure out some things for my build too.

I really wish all manufacturers would just list a frame & frame + shock weight.

That would allow us to cut through some BS.

Anyways, with heavy duty frames that no longer crack, Transmission, 38mm forks, coil shocks in some cases, 200mm rotors, etc. the bikes really are starting to get heavier. It's becoming noticeable on the spec sheet.

Thanks! 160 Front wears a 2.4WT DHRII MaxxGrip, Rear is DHF Dual....both non Exo+. 150 has 2.5 Assegai 3C MaxTerra Exo on Front and a DHRII DC out back....both also non Exo+.

Both bikes have 36 Forks, 200mm front 180mm rear Sram rotors with tapped steer tubes for OneUp cap and tool (weights are sans tool). Carbon bottle cages, ESI grips on both bikes. PNW lever on SB160 and OneUp Lever on SB150. Both have branded Yeti saddles with 150 being Ergon and 160 is WTB. Non Transmission on SB160 (wasn't available when parts ordered), with analog shifting, DUB MTB wide boost BB and 170mm cranks.

Seems this latest Gen SB line is about 1.5 lbs heavier than last Gen. SB115 to 120, SB130 to 140 and SB150 to 160 all had similar weight gains between the model upgrades.

I have a luggage scale from t.j. Maxx that cuts 6 lbs off of all my bikes when I use it. That scale is worth every penny of the $5.99 that I paid for it.

Now my front and rear coil shock burly build sb150 with one up pump, c02 and pedals weighs 32lbs!

That is a lot lighter than I was expecting.
**** I goofed....the 3256g is with axle, EXCLUDING the shock, which weighs 692g. So frame, axle, and shock together weighs 3948g, sorry for confusion!!

In the first row of the build sheet where the description says "+ shock", it should say "minus shock". Corrected below. Total bike weight is correct at ~33 lb.
