Now this is an ebike I would love to try! Said to be around 40lbs, using the Fazua motor 60nm of torque with a battery system designed to be removable dropping weight to around 35lbs. Rear travel 160 or 170mm, 29” wheels or muller.
I will for sure, but based on this ride I have no doubt I could get a 30+ miler with 5K feet elevation. That's okay in my book. Pretty happy guy over here...That's crazy good!! You should run it down all the way to zero in the near future. I'm suspecting the Fazua battery monitor is generous on the first 50% of battery capacity on the last 50%, not as much actual capacity.
The reason is the voltage drops quite a bit on the battery and some systems don't account for it at all. Then close to 10%, shut the system down.
I've yet to test for sure though.
The Garmin UI in general I don't find very intuitive. Had to **** around with it. Got it to work, so all good.Is the Garmin app easy enough to use and works well?
Can you go into sensors on your Garmin and pair the bike this way using the Ebike sensor? Then you can use as many data screens as you want on each page. This is what I did with my Rise. The Garmin UI in general I don't find very intuitive. Had to **** around with it. Got it to work, so all good.
The Fuel EXe also has a cover at the bottom of the frame, and the battery slides out the bottom. From a PB e-bike review:
Review: Crestline RS 75/50 EEB - Pinkbike
"The battery can be accessed by removing the cover located on the bottom of the frame. Personally, I prefer this style over frames with large battery hatches – along with allowing for a stiffer frame, it makes it pretty much impossible for the battery to be knocked out of the frame, something I've seen happen with other designs."
What e-bike would Mike Kazimer have seen that had this design feature, besides the Relay?
Nice, Galbraith is a good litmus test for the bike- Lots of steep FSRsGalbraith Mountain right next to their headquarters. It was super muddy and wet yesterday, and I was impressed at how well those Schwalbe tires maintained grip over wet roots and rocks.
Pretty clear MK was talking about a large quick R & R battery cover. The Fuel EXe also has a cover at the bottom of the frame, and the battery slides out the bottom.
Found it. It is located just south of the water bottle cage. Transition BikesStumbled across this product on transition’s website. Transition Bikes
Obviously there has been speculation about a range extender from Fazua, but this would appear to confirm that. Assuming this is a replacement part for a plug already on the bike but I haven’t seen that pictured anywhere. Curious if anybody knows where this “plug” is on the bike?
What in the world is going on with this bike.. no major bike mag reviews.. the levo sl came and had tons of coverage.. AND available righ off the bat.. transition finally selling the GX carbon model but didn’t announce anything on their socials… almost like they still want to keep it a secret.. no published weight of the alloy models.. weird launch of a bike.
