That's crazy good!! You should run it down all the way to zero in the near future. I'm suspecting the Fazua battery monitor is generous on the first 50% of battery capacity on the last 50%, not as much actual capacity.

The reason is the voltage drops quite a bit on the battery and some systems don't account for it at all. Then close to 10%, shut the system down.

I've yet to test for sure though.
I will for sure, but based on this ride I have no doubt I could get a 30+ miler with 5K feet elevation. That's okay in my book. Pretty happy guy over here...

From a PB e-bike review:

Review: Crestline RS 75/50 EEB - Pinkbike

"The battery can be accessed by removing the cover located on the bottom of the frame. Personally, I prefer this style over frames with large battery hatches – along with allowing for a stiffer frame, it makes it pretty much impossible for the battery to be knocked out of the frame, something I've seen happen with other designs."

What e-bike would Mike Kazimer have seen that had this design feature, besides the Relay?

The Fuel EXe also has a cover at the bottom of the frame, and the battery slides out the bottom.

Went up to the Transition HQ yesterday to demo an XL PNW Relay and rode with my buddy who already owns a L PNW Relay. There was also a Kenevo SL and a Pivot Shuttle SL in the group. Here's my crappy mini review:

Battery life: I didn't have my phone connected to the bike so I don't know what my exact percentage was, but I still had 3 LEDs after 15mi with 2970' of ascending in eco mode the whole time. I assume that means I was still >60% battery? My friend's Relay was down to two LEDs, but I'm more fit and he was using trail mode to keep up with me during some of the climbs.

Power: It's not a rocket ship, but no one I ride with has a fullfat e-bike so it has plenty of power for my needs. I primarily rode in eco mode and played around with the boost mode, but eco felt like plenty of power for my riding style. I still like to get a bit of a workout.

Ride: I really, really liked the way this bike rode. I felt very confident on steep tech lines, jumps, drops, whatever I hit. It's still a heavy bike and not as playful as my manual bikes, but it beats a fullfat eMTB in my book. I'll probably replace the spring with an air shock when I get my PNW though... I just don't really like the way springs feel off of trail jumps.

Fit and finish: The reviews are right about that Fazua system. The ring control and display are incredibly disappointing for the price. The display and controller on the Kenevo SL looked and felt way better, and the KSL can be had for a really good price right now. Also there was noticeable rattling in the battery compartment on the descents. I wonder if this is something I can fix with some electric tape or foam or something. None of this is a dealbreaker, but it's obnoxious on a bike that costs this much.

I placed an order for the Relay back in March, and after demoing the bike I'm going to keep my order open. I wish the ETA wasn't June/July though. It's a really fun bike and I want one now!

Pretty clear MK was talking about a large quick R & R battery cover.

I still have a deposit on a Relay, but I just got an orange '23 Levo SL Comp on order too.

I'll decide which one to buy once I see the SL specs but it really came down to the Relay being great, but I'm just not comfortable with the quick removable battery as battery connections are a common issue for noise and motive power on existing e-bikes.

Stumbled across this product on transition’s website. Transition Bikes

Obviously there has been speculation about a range extender from Fazua, but this would appear to confirm that. Assuming this is a replacement part for a plug already on the bike but I haven’t seen that pictured anywhere. Curious if anybody knows where this “plug” is on the bike?

Found it. It is located just south of the water bottle cage. Transition Bikes

I do wish charging the main battery was a little easier than taking it out every time. The hassle of taking it out every time outweighs the potential benefit of storing the battery inside the house when it is 0 degrees throughout the winter. Maybe, just maybe, you will be able to charge the extender which which will also charge the main battery at the same time. This would allow you just place the extender and plug in to charge the main battery instead of completely removing the main battery every time. Not ideal. Would probably have a negative impact on the battery life of the extender - considering charge profiles and charge numbers etc.

From the Enduro-MTB Light e-bike shootout review, here are the weights of the other F60 equipped size Large bikes and a very basic specification list and it appears to be no pedals. All have Fox 36 forks and reservoir shocks.

1) Focus Jam 150/ 160 travel with Al wheels, Deore, 4 piston brakes, 170mm dropper, decent tires, 42.68#s.
2) Haibike Lyke 140/ 140, 150mm dropper, weight weenie spec with XTR and lightish tires, 40.92#s.
3) Pivot Shuttle Sl, 132/ 150, sort of weight weenie with XTR and lightish tires, 41.14#s.

So the Relay 160/ 160 (or 170 as a 29er) on Robs Rides EMTBs had a L AXS build with a 210 dropper and it weighs 42.94#s.

Just the AXS and longer dropper on the Relay are .5#. So really when you stop and look, the Relay is exactly where it should be for a 160/ 170 travel F60 bike.

I'm still pretty torn between the Relay, or a 29" Levo SL, cause I'm WW to the core. But really cause I like MTBIng down AND up and have a fear of losing that with the Relay.

Also concerned with dropper insertion on the Relay as the seat tube length is quite long.

What in the world is going on with this bike.. no major bike mag reviews.. the levo sl came and had tons of coverage.. AND available righ off the bat.. transition finally selling the GX carbon model but didn’t announce anything on their socials… almost like they still want to keep it a secret.. no published weight of the alloy models.. weird launch of a bike.

-I'm under the impression that the Fazua is a little "Buggy" and there's no range-extender yet or for the foreseeable future. . . . . Sooooo, that "might" be why the roll-out has been slower than I'm sure they'd like???
