If anyone is interested in doing a group ride/showing me a good riding place in the St. Louis area tomorrow (or another weekend), let me know. I moved to the Brentwood area.

Yes, there's a group that rides Wednesday evenings from late April/early May (weather dependent) to mid/late October. From the start of the weekly rides in the spring until the days start getting shorter in late September they normally are rolling at 6:30. Rides are held at Boyne Forest, Avalanche, Tanton, Bigfoot (backside of Boyne Highlands), and sections of the NCT in the area.

There is a group on Meetup called SLAMB (St. Louis Area Mtn Bikers) -- they have 3x weekly evening rides, will require lights at this time of year.

In the summertime, there's some big Thursday group rides put on by a local shop at Castlewood State Park.

GORC's website (gorctrails.com) has a good listing of all the local trails. Zombie/Bluff View is generally the most-liked local trail and I'd recommend it to start with unless you are a beginner.

From Brentwood, all of the trails will be a decent drive away. If you are looking for a quick ride, the Bootlegger Run trail at Creve Coeur Park is probably the closest to you. It's a fairly easy/quick and smooth trail, just watch out for other trail users.
