Fluctuating between 77 and 83kg, I ride 17/22.5psi front/rear, at least according to my pump. I haven't verified that with any additional gauges, but so it seems to work consistently across my local Rocky Mountain terrain. I had to add a half PSI to the rear last year as I finally got a little faster and pump-ier that was rolling the tire carcass on the smoother and faster trails. I have a Tubolight insert in the back.

153lbs/69kg without gear. 150/140mm trail bike, all kinds of terrain apart from thick mud
. Mostly rocky though. Front: 17-18psi, i35mm rim, 27.5x2.6 Magic Mary Supertrail Soft. Rear: 24-25psi, i30mm rim, 27.5x2.35 Hans Dampf Supertrail Soft + Nukeproof ARD.

I could probably get away with less psi on the rear, but I'd rather play it safe as our rocks are sharp and I tend to get clumsy when fatigued.

255lbs and last year ran front 2.6x29 at 26psi, and rear 2.3x29 at 30psi. This was tubeless on my hardtail Specialized Fuse. Will probably be switching the front to 2.3 as well since this is becoming more of an XC bike (bought a Stumpy Evo recently). I plan to run about 30psi front and bump up the rear to about 33psi.

I'd also add that on my rear tire, a Spesh SWorks FastTrak - It's a 2.2 and twice in the same short track race, the tire folded over cornering. I'm not heavy (150lbs) but I was going fairly fast....short track. Freaky feeling and no damage to the tire. The casing on the sidewall of those tires is super soft. No wear issues whatsoever but man, when you corner hard on those things they deform ALOT.

I've also had that happen when I was using a 2.35 Ground Control w/ Control casing, even at 30psi. I decided due to my size (6'2" and 255lbs) that I would stick with GRID Trail casings from then on. That Control casing folded over far too frequently, but moving up to GRID Trail (2.3" Slaughter) everything felt much better and it virtually never folds over even at the same pressure.

I had a really bad crash running the newer S works fast trak 2.35 front. I was told to increase psi by three but I didn’t listen. Went back down to my usual 19 or 20 psi, 75 kg rider geared up, and the thin supple sidewall folded on a fast off camber hard pack.

So what do you all run? I know that it can depend on tires, conditions and riding style, just curious where you are all at. I'll start:

155lbs 18f/19r Barzo/Mez both 29x2.35

Typical midatlantic rocks and roots, nothing major. I'd consider myself a finesse rider, I certainly do not blow through chunk. Might be able to go lower.
29er: 15lb Front 3.0, Hard as a rock Rear 2.
single speed rigid.

I am 140lb and on 2.4 Rekon Races mounted on 30mm internal rims I set the tires to 18psi at 20C. On a hot summer day that means I am probably around 20psi on the trails. On 2.2 Rekon Races on 23mm internal rims I set the tires to 20psi at to 20C.

At those pressures the tires are a bit harsh but it seems if I creap below those pressure rim-strikes start to appear frequently. With a good insert I will drop 2psi with either set-up.

200lbs, Recon Race, 25front, 27 rear. Any less and I hit the rims

210-215 lbs ready to ride. Full squish, 19f/24r with XR4s 29x2.4 and 29mm ID carbon rims. Ride mostly slow tech on steep, tight, twisty limestone chunk with spurts of momentum when it opens up.

My pressures seem relatively low by comparison. I‘d like to believe I ride “light“ from years being flogged on a hard tail. But more likely I’m just slow.
