I'll be trying the Butcher T9 2.6 out front and debating whether to go eliminator or a butcher t7 2.3 out back. Who has had experiences with both and offer any comparisons?

Currently running Mazza F, Dissector R.

T7 Grid Trail Eliminator on the rear of one bike, Dissector EXO+ MaxTerra on another bike. Inserts used in both.
For the soil around me the Eliminator out brakes, out corners, and outlasts the Dissector. I did get a pinch flat through an insert with the Dissector and I have an odd chunk missing out of the Eliminator but no flats. I would not buy the Dissector again.

Eliminator is a really good rear tire pattern IME, but I wish the grid trail casing was tougher for my pointy rocky area. Probably only equivalent to EXO. TBF I got pinch flats on a dissector exo+ also. The tread is top notch though. Pretty sure it both rolls faster and grips better in all directions than Dissector. The Dissector is easier to break loose in turns (which can be fun!) because the Eliminator has more intermediate knobs.

I'm going to try one as the front tire on a light trail build I'm working on.

I really enjoy how predictably the Dissector breaks away. Makes rotating the bike really manageable and fun.Is the Eliminator more "locked in" than the Dissctor in this case?

Eliminator has been one of my favorite tires of all time. Have only tried it in the grid T7 callout and ran it front/rear on my 180/170 29er freeride bike with much success. Have ran lots of different tires but still think Eliminator/Eliminator was best. When I wear out my current set of tires, it's what I'm going back to. Great balance of grip, speed, braking, and cornering.

Combos Tried on same bike:
DHF Front / Eliminator Rear
Eliminator Front / Dissector Rear (Mullet)
DHF Front / Dissector Rear (Mullet)
DHF Front / Magic Mary Rear

Combos Tried on similar Bikes:
DHF Front / DHR Rear
DHF Front / DHF Rear
Butcher Front / Slaughter Rear
More to list but are less relavant

I've only ran the Eliminator on the front but found the Eliminator more predictable. The Dissector cornering knobs tend to fold over unpredictability in my experience.

I've had a alot of experience with the DHR2, DHF and Dissector on a number of bikes. The DHR2 was my goto tire. Recently, I picked up a SJEVO that runs the Butcher/Eliminator setup. I was honestly surprised on how much I like this setup. Good traction and rolls fast.

I would go with an eliminator, even a 2.6 if you'd like. I tried a butcher rear a few weeks ago and had it on for about a week before side knobs were ripping off. Kind of a bummer for a brand new tire but the knob ripping seems to be common on specialized tires. Eliminator has plenty of traction and rolls much faster. Depending on what you are using the bike for, i may even suggest the Ground Control, as that tire grips surprisingly very well and rolls even faster than the eliminator.
