Oh no doubt it's much higher than other bikes out there. For me, it's the pleasure of owning a Santa Cruz. I rode their skateboards when I was young so I feel like a big kid when I ride my SC bikes.

I love Trek bikes. They have an awesome warranty and their bikes just work. I used to ride a Trek Emonda for a couple years and that bike made me a believer that I can climb just about any hill out there. I've always wanted a Trek Session so maybe one day I'll own one.
The Trek Session is killer! I personally own a SC Jackal as my DJ bike so I'm down with anything SC as well.

Nice! I used to have a Transition PB&J DJ. I really miss that bike and I made the mistake of trading it for a gravel bike. It was the chrome model and everything. I definitely need another DJ in my life.

I would negotiate a 25% discount for a cash buy on a 9. You can do that only with a manager for cash. Do not talk money with any sales guy. They are trained to lie about any discount possibility. Figure the discounted price plus tax and use this figure not a %discount as your out the door position. You can qualify a manager over the phone. Trek dealers can pull bikes from a Trek warehouse. Have it included in the next regular shipment to avoid special shipping costs. Uffer 60% cash as a down payment if the shop has to order.
Good luck.

The bike market is getting close to being back to that position- at least here in Texas. But the R9 is still pretty much a special order item, you can see the R7 and R8 on the racks at Trek shops all over. It never hurts to ask for a discount!

There was a window about 5-10 years ago when this sort of MTB content on Youtube was new and amateurs were able to get in and gain a following. Regular people like Seth's Bike Hacks, Singletracks Sampler, BKXC, etc. filled that niche quite well. They were rough when they started, but they learned and got better (or didn't and got squeezed out).

Now you get the follower-on folks who saw their success and try to replicate it. Problem for these folks is the competition is way, way better now. You've got pros like Remy Metailler and Jeff Lenosky who are not only getting the content dialed, they are some of the most talented riders in the world. Then you've got pro-level content from places like Pinkbike and GMBN. It's way harder now for aspiring "influencers."

It's actually not, NOW is actually a great time to grow on YT... YT is on a mission to be the "all in one" social media platform. With the giant push on shorts to battle tik tock and the new community pages to battle Facebook and Twitter (which is in an odd place in the moment). YT being powered by Google is the 2nd largest search engine on the web, and getting more and more eyeballs every day. We started our channel for fun and not trying to make a living off of it, but it is fun to watch it grow and have riders come up to us on the trails asking questions. MTB103 is a very small channel but we provide fun, entertaining content, mixed MTB facts and opinions. Hope you watched and enjoyed the video even if it was just for a few seconds. - Tyson

I mean good luck, and glad you're having fun, but you're facing some pretty stiff competition and my unsolicited advice is you need to do something different than anyone else if you hope to stand out on a very crowded stage. Right now you seem like a clone of Loam Wolf.
Possibly, I watch the Loam Wolf channel and I don't see us being similar, but maybe I watch too many videos and they all run together for me. Our goal is to make the videos entertaining with some production value and some insight on a product, trail, or experience we had while riding. Flip through a few of our videos and see if there is something you like.

Yes, seasons 6 & 7... along with a few other reality shows. Clips are on my website www.tysonfaifer.com
I remember you!
(My GF is a big ANW fan.)

P.S. I skipped your vid but I trust you so I promise to go nowhere near the miserable Roscoe 7!

I clicked and watched your video and you are doing the math wrong.
80% of all MTB buyers aren't planning to upgrade, most of them even don't change their chains or brakepads or lube any parts.
The Roscoe 7 doesn't focus on the hardcore shreddy flexxy bikepark hippies, it is for low budget people.
The only ones who are doing the math right are the manufacturers, who makes you believe spending more on higher model is better instead going with entry level components.
