Ok, was PM'ing with 2supple, but figured I'd post here in case this helps anyone. Got the take off 2022 DHX2 off the Yeti mounted last night. Reduced the stroke to 62.5, installed the RWC roller bearings in the rear eyelet, and tried out the 500 lbs Fox SLS spring the shock came with. FYI I am probably 190 or tad more full geared up with food, extra H20 bottle, etc in my SWAT bibs.
So I always measure rear sag seated, and 500 lb spring with zero preload (or maybe could have gotten another half turn to be true zero, always so hard to tell there) gave me just shy 21mm of sag. So I tightened the preload up 2 full turns, and it was more like 18mm when I re-measured. So I backed it off one turn and left it.
How I measured the sag was sitting on it, pushing the rubber bump stop all the way up, then gently getting off. Had to take the shock off the bike to measure since I was doing it by myself (PITA, but really NBD).
I made a kind of go/no-go gauge for the X2; basically cut a piece of stiff cardboard that is exactly 19mm wide. Very easy to tell with the X2 where you are with sag, the gauge either fits b/w the o-ring and seal about perfect, or is fits easily with too much room (more than 19mm sag), or doesn't fit at all (less than 19mm). Sorry, engineer by trade here...
So when I put the 2 turns of preload on the DHX2 and took it off to measure sag, I was able to drop the gauge behind the coil. It wouldn't quite fit between the body and rubber bumper but was close. Hence me backing off a turn of preload.
Rode it around the street, feels a tad soft, but it's a coil so it's always hard to tell in a parking lot test b/c they almost always feel more supple. Tried to do some carving type turns and hitting the driveway bumps at speed it felt fine. I'll get to try it on Saturday.
SC has their X2 and DHX2 settings identical for a given rider weight, and I used their settings for the X2. So I'm just going to start with the same so I've got a baseline, and go from there. SC says 500lb spring for a 180lb rider, and 550 for a 200. My guess is a 550 will be too stiff, based soley on experience.
TLDR - Seems like the 500 could work, but does feel a tad on the softer side than I'd prefer.
So that said, Fox used to make an SLS spring in 525 x 2.75. They don't anymore, and I've not been able to track one down yet. If anyone has one they want to sell or knows where one is, etc, please hit me up.
