Assuming you are changing your crankset... PF30 BB is needed. The item you linked works with the C'dale crankset and possibly Race Face Cinch 30mm such as Turbine or Atlas.
Thank you, I can only find nonfat bottom brackets for BB30 PF though. Is this BB the right one, and fits the 121mm(?) BB shell of my Farley?
May I ask about those Miranda cranks linked above? They are made for ISIS, so will they fit that Cannondale spindle?
The chainring and spider connects to the (Miranda) cranks, right? So I would have to get a Miranda spider, or chainring, assuming no third party makes spiders/chainrings for their system, correct?

TIA!

ISIS is not compatible with RF 30mm Cinch. Two completely different interfaces.
Best is to go with a spider made by the crank maker, specifically for that crank. Direct mount possible?

Which OneUp CD spiders do you have as spares, only the 3mm offset one, or others as well?
What spider would I then need for the 166mm and the 160mm spindle, to get the right chainline?
I've never tried to set up a C'dale crank on another bike, but some thoughts.

If a 160 spindle with 0mm offset chainring works on a Fat Caad, a 166 spindle with an "AI" ~3mm offset ring should work too.

As an option, take a look at the Garbaruk chainrings that have so-called variable chainline technology (VCLT) -- i.e. more negative offset the smaller the tooth-count.

I'd also get a pile of 30mm spindle spacers in different widths, so you can adjust/tune the spacing and chainline as you need to with whatever bottom-bracket you end up with.

I can't tell you what's going to work on your frame. I used the 166mm spindle on three different bikes and they all used a different offset spider. Farley 8 (old 177mm frame) took the 6mm offset. Bucksaw (177mm frame) took the 3mm offset. Motobecane Sturgis (197mm frame) took the zero offset. I also have a Famed full suspension that needed the 169mm spindle and a 3mm offset. I went with the narrowest Q factor I could get on all frames. I have one zero offset and a couple 6 mm offset OneUp Switch CDale spiders in my stash I'll let go.

Correct if the arms clear the stays...

That Hope BB will work. I used the Cane Creek Hellbender in my 121mm PF BB

Thank you guys for all your input, I do appreciate it!

Thanks for the clarification, I now understand that ISIS is not the same as BB30.
Does Cannondale make spiders for standard chainrings with different offsets? I can't seem to find the right one... :-(

Thanks for the info!

Interesting, I don't know why they all need different offsets, but this topic makes my head spin anyway...
I can't find a SWITCH Spider for CD with 3mm offset at any vendor, knowing my luck, that will be the one I will need...
Would you mind sending me a PM regarding the two Switch CD spiders? You are located in the US, right?

That Hope BB will work. I used the Cane Creek Hellbender in my 121mm PF BB
Thanks, are we talking about this one? I think that is bit too pricey for me. :-/
Are there any decent alternatives to the Hope BB? I have a hard time finding BB30 PF for 121mm Fatbikes - but again, this stuff is bit over my head...

Thanks, they are a tad cheaper than the orignal ones from CD, but since I have to send one back anyway, I think I'll stick with a local vendor that carries both the 160mm and 166mm.

Those Miranda cranks seem to be a dead end, can anyone make sense of that video? Could I use a BB30 spindle from Cannondale with that?
I already wrote to their support, but I likely didn't do a great job describing what I am looking for.

I got an email from AB, they only sell CD chainrings with 3mm offset, so if I need another one to get the right chainline, I am out of luck!

Maybe I should buy the WT oval chainring with their CAMO system, I really like the option to get a stainless steel chainring, but their different ovality doesn't sit right with me, as I want to eliminate all kinds of minor causes of further knee issues, and I assume the proper ovality is one small piece of that puzzle. Of course that is all theoretical in the end....

Yeah, I am afraid that will be the case...
@El_Topo : It looks like I replied to you 2-1/2 years ago, but as input to this thread, here's a sketch with measurements from my Fat Caad with 160mm spindle and Wolftooth Camo setup. I would think you could figure out the spindle length you'll need from this and it's 170mm of chainstay clearance.

Yes, I remember. Thank you for remembering that. We even wrote a few PMs afterwards. See, I finally came around to buy that bike after the last two crazy years. :D

I just measured the chainstays of my Alloy frame, and they are around 160mm at their widest. I therefore firmly hope that the narrower spindle will fit, 5mm of clearance on each side should be enough I suppose, as I wouldn't expect there to be too much flex right behind the yoke.
