My 30 year mountain bike montage...

My first actual mountain bike - 1992 Specialized Hard Rock. I don't have any pictures of it, but it was this model and color. Much larger frame size though.

1999 Trek 8000, first bike I bought myself

My current bike, 2020 Salsa Timberjack.Farm more capable on the rough stuff, even though it's fairly conservative by modern standards.

Not pictured: 1989 Fisher HK-II restoration project (currently a pile of parts on my bench)

I tend to keep my bikes for a long time.

This is what I have on my phone. There's been many more.
Current GG Smash. It took me a while to source a near new Al frame.

Coconino Cruiser. Favorite bike ever

Custom long low and slack Ventana from 2009.

Custom long low and slack Curtlo from 2004.

Coconino Cruiser with straight TT. The only one in existence. I rode this bike across Iceland solo.

1996 Mountain Cycle San Andreas.

1998 RM Element Race. I won the CA St Super D series on this in 2002.

2002 Karpiel Disco. Won the CA St DH series on this. It had a 888 Werks on it for most of its life.

2004 Mountain Cycle Zen. Somewhere in Sedona.

I've owned more Titus bikes than I can remember but have no pics. Mostly Qusi Motos.

That's a fruit basket of a list. I sweated up many a bed sheet dreaming over one of those San Andreas's back in the day. A ridiculous bit if kit for 1996.

That list doesn't even scratch the surface. All my bikes from the 80s and most from the 90s aren't on there.

I knew Dan Hannebrink for some time up until he passed and he kept that fork going on the San Andreas. That frame and fork now live in Australia. Same deal with the Romic on the Karpiel. The owner was my neighbor and we'd do custom shock tunes in the garage. An excellent shock when it's not OEM. The PUSH guys were also in the neighborhood at that time. (Chuck Bikes) and were working with RCR (Romic)

I'll find some pics of the 98 RM DH Race and DH TO, along with several Slayers from 2000 to 2006.

One of my first loaner rides was on a San Andreas at Snow Summit NORBA Nationals in 1996 I think. Yes, quite the exotic piece for it’s time.

The psychopath in me wants to challenge you to a 100mile endurance ride while you are forced to ride the seatless trials bike!
First, I challenge you to cancer and subsequent treatment... Then I'll break out the correct bike for the deed. Besides, you son outrides your happy ass, Plummet! 😁

I must admit, the trialsy bike is a great source of entertainment!

I remember that Huffy, wanted that one so bad as a kid. The hand guards were everything.
That was my first mtb, 24” wheels i believe. “Huffys got white heat” was the commercial jingle. I rode it a few years until i outgrew uit, took a year off then got my first26er, the maroon iron horse posted in my first reply.

Nice sampling of your collection! Didn’t realize how much of an rsd fan you are. I will take that as a legitimate endorsement 👍

There is an infestation of em.
2 Mayors, 2 Sergeants and a Middlechild. What is nice about em is they are priced right, good geo, excellent warranty.
The black b i t c h was extra! Annnnd, that dog hauls ass!!
