Since 2020 I've seen an increase in the amount of counterfeiting with the supply all sideways. KMC and Shimano both issued warnings about chains (and Big S brake pads), etc. So I am a bit leery now. Anyone know if these are legit? https://www.amazon.com/Wheels-Manufacturing-bracket-Bearings-compatible/dp/B017UO6ROQ?th=1

$35 off is tempting, but not if the risk is high that this is a fake. I have tried to contact the Dealer as well as Wheels MFG and zero response from either.

Thoughts?

Last I checked wheels manufacturing has certified dealers on their site, links to them infact. Is $35 worth the gamble? I mean if you can identify one you can order it and send it back no problem but if you can't that's another story entirely.

While I would never buy anything from a scammer company like Amazon, it is plausible that a bb could be sold for much less than what Wheels charges. It's incredibly easy to machine aluminum, then add two cartridge bearings. A CNC lathe could spit out thousands of those things per day.
