I have been riding Ergon GA2 fat grips for a long time and they have been good.

Just installed the new PNW Loam XL grips on my bikes as I really like PNW and want to give their grips a try. I did go blue with the PNW's as it matches my blue DVO Sapphire on my Middlechild perfectly and the Ripley was all blacked out and I wanted some color back on it.

I change my grips as often as I change my socks. I know what saddle and pedals I prefer, but I'm always searching for a better grip for; fit, comfort, and ease of attachment. All black except two pair in dirty grey this past year, because moon dust. They don't need to be thick but tacky enough, and single lock ring please.

new full build that has OEM choices ?

in first week

Just got a new Sentinel and didn't even do 1 ride with the Sensus lites that came on it (when I demo'd the bike they were on it and I despised them). I prefer a thick grip and most bikes come with grips to small and it gives me arm pump.

You keep your OEM pedals?

Anyway, I like cheap EBay foam grips. Comfy and light, but I typically have to replace them every year. And yes, all my grips are black. I put matching yellow grips on my yellow bike once and they looked disgustingly grimy after only a couple of rides.

All my grips eventually become dark grey to black!

I have a set of red grips on one bike now, since Oury didn't have black available when I needed them.

I'll try whatever comes stock on the bike, but I pretty always end up swapping them out for black ODI Ruffians. I like a thin, firm grip.

In my experience, pretty much everything other than black grips looks like crap in sort order.

Had great luck with PNW grips, I actually like them better than the ergons the previous owner had on my hardtail. I have ODI ruffians on my FS bike and really like them as well.

One thing that I always change out right away is the OEM air in the tires. I replace it with nitrogen and the improvement in performance is literally incredible. Plus, the sooner you change out the stock air the more you can get for it on the resale market before you've put too many miles on the new bike.

I prefer a wider grip than most stock options. The ODI Rogue is my go to. The grips and saddle get changed out on every bike. For comfort mostly but colors are fun too.

Exactly my setup! Color and all. Love Rogues. Have been mostly running them for 10+ years. That said. had a couple of sets of the pivot factory grips that I got with my bike and I really liked them. I just kept tearing the ends off of them. I like the Locking ring on the outside for armoring purposes.

how does it impact the compliance and stiffness.
Contemplating going from a fox 72 to the 73 but wasn’t sure the extra mm of stiffness would be worth the $1400 might try this first.
