Fox SLS and Cane Creek VALT - post spring weight

I wanted to get a SLS or VALT spring but wasn't sure if the weight saving is worth the upgrade. Fox or Cane Creek do not list the spring weight at their websites and I spend a few hours searching. I post the weights I found.

If you can, add your own spring weight. Please copy the whole list and add yours, this way the latest posts has all the info.

Fox SLS

350 X 2.75 - 251gr
425 X 2.75 - 312gr
450 X 2.25 - 216gr
500 X 2.75 - 370gr
550 X 2.4 - 339gr


Cane Creek VALT

350 X 3.0 - 346gr
400 X 2.25 - 320gr
400 X 2.75 - 377gr
450 X 2.5 - 352gr

If you can, add your own spring weight. Please copy the whole list and add yours, this way the latest posts has all the info.

If you want to compare Valt vs SLS springs
Fox mark springs by quoting the maximum travel the spring will go to before it becomes coil-bound. e.g. 1.65 = 1.5" stroke, 2.35 or 2.38 = 2.0" or 2.25" stroke, 2.8 = 2.5" or 2.75" stroke & 3.25 = 3.00" stroke. All other brands mark the spring with the stroke of the shock it is designed to fit eg 2.5" x poundage. Spring Calculator - TF Tuned

The tolerances on these springs are pretty bad, so you are going to get significant differences in weight and lb force for the same sizes.

Fox mainly. They get wacky through the travel.

Although I have a few CCs and I'd be surprised if those are close.

I haven't tested a CC Valt yet. I've only tested one 500lb/in Fox SLS and it came out ramping from ~460lb/in off the top to 500lb/in at 2" compression..

Just for some additional info,

I have got a few MRP Enduro SL springs lately. They are all sized for up to 65mm stroke, and they are light. Weight so far has been within a gram of what they list on the website. They are 38mm ID, but sell adapter kits for Fox sized stuff.
