I recently had a flat tire. Wondering if if would be advisable to switch from a schrader valve tube to a Presta valve tube or if that would be problematic?

If you rim is drilled for schrader then I'd stick with schrader (pretty sure you can get valve hole adapters to go to the smaller diameter presta valves if you really wanted).
If the rims, tyres etc are tubeless compatible then you can maybe look at going tubeless...

Just curious if there are reasons not to switch to a Presta valve tube. I have 2 bikes, one with Presta tubes, one with Schrader tubes. If I need to order replacement tubes it would be easy to order one type of tube for both bikes.
Go tubeless and dramatically lower the cost of tubes.

They make aluminum adaptors as well. I carry Park Tool glueless patches. I haven't needed the tube or patches since going tubeless over ten years ago.
