Currently running 2.3 High Roller and 2.25 Ardent on the HT.
I moved them over from the FS but want something with maybe a bit more width and volume. Maybe 2.4-2.5.
My rides start on tarmac, then a mix of smooth bridle paths, muddy tracks and some faster trails with more roots than rocks. I’m not an aggressive rider, look for the faster smoother routes than the more technical drops etc.
So tyres kind of need to be a jack of all trades. I know this leads to a compromise but would almost like an all season set up.
so probably more grippy front and faster rolling rear with enough volume to give the old back side a bit of extra cushion.
