Hi all

Wonder if anyone can help. I'm looking to swap out my rock shox super deluxe air shock for a coil.

This is partly because I managed to bugger it in a crash last year (scratched the damper body and broke the seal). I had it repaired and it holds air ok but I like the idea of not having to worry about it failing again, particularly mid-way through an Alps trip which is what happened last time.

I also think my riding style would be better suited to a coil.

I'm riding an XL 2019 Kona process 29er, CR, DL.
The air shock is a rock shox super deluxe 205/60mm trunnion.

I was thinking for going for an equivalent size rock shox super deluxe coil shock.

Here in the UK there are currently decently priced shocks online with the following description:

'RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil RCT 205x60mm Trunnion Rear Shock for Norco Range 2017+ - black'

They reference the 'Norco Range' but the stats / dimensions etc seem the same. I can't see why it wouldn't fit. As my air shock was trunnion fitting I'm assuming the fittings would be the standard width / bolt pattern?

Grateful for any thoughts.

Thanks

Alex

They're maybe referring the to the stock 'tune' the shock comes with. Plus they also might be including the lower shock mount hardware (but if that's the case, you can just move the hardware from your current air shock over to the coil).

Otherwise, it'll plug right in.
