Hi All

My 2018 Special came with Mavic XA Pros. I think I've blown a bearing in the hub and am trying to get the axel out to inspect and replace the bearings.

I'm assuming I need to get the below locking nut off (or am I doing something silly here and can get the axel out another way?).

1918564

It's this bit here (from the manual):
1918565

That whole number 6 part is a 'REAR QRM + AXLE KIT ITS4 135mm from 2012'

I can't figure out what type of tool I need to lock onto this ring so I can unscrew it from the axle and get to the bearings. After some googling it may be a "6 hole IS /Center Lock" spanner. Not sure.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Thanks for any help :)

Hi guys! I am in the middle of a huge doubt. I'm about to buy a Canyon Spectral 27.5, and I'm right between sizes XS and S, I measure 1.63cm, my inseam is 72cm and I weigh 58 kgs, even though the Canyon website recommends me to buy a size XS, I wouldn't want it to I will stay very very small ... Anyone who can help me?

So, this is thread about the 2018 model, and I think you are asking about a 2021 model? Why not start a new thread.
Anyways, I think the best way to check is to go to a bike shop and try bikes with similar reach and stack as the two sizes. If you haven't ridden mountain bikes enough to know your preference, this may not be helpful.
You can adjust the effective reach somewhat later via stem length, and effective stack via handlebar rise, but if the frame is longer than ideal even with those adjustments, there is no way to fix that. I would recommend going with the smaller size if you are truly in between, and don't have a strong preference either way, as an overlong reach can lead to handling and weight distribution issues.

Hello fellow Spectral riders,

This is my 2018 Spectral AL 7. I try to look after it, but it has collected a number of scratches.
I need to replace the plastic cable guide--the one that doubles as a frame protector. However, since I also have the problem with the lose seat clamp, I decided to wait before ordering the repair parts. Yesterday I asked Canyon to send me a new box, so that I can send it in.

This is just one of the things that I am looking to upgrade this year. Additionally, the lose lockout switch on my Deluxe shox has been really annoying. Is there a way to service that? I am considering upgrading to the new Deluxe Ultimate, since it comes with a redesigned lockout switch and has compression adjustment.

Also to the people who upgraded to a different shock, which one would you go for right now? I am thinking about the Rockshox Deluxe, the Fox X, or the Marzochi Bomber CR.
