I want to replace a pair of leaking Tektro Aurigas on my commuter bike.

I'm sold on getting MT200's. The 4 mile lever difference is easy to solve by flipping places with the shifter. I'm just wondering about the reach.

Is it that little chrome threaded thingy right below the master cilinder? Looks like I could stick a longer screw to increase adjustment which is exactly what I did with the Tektros and if the answer is a yes or maybe then I'm off to get them :D.

Thanks.

EDIT: Added question to avoid creating new thread.

This bike came with a IS to PM adapter to use a 160mm rotor. That's what shows in the pictures.

I confused myself as to what do I exactly need to put a 180mm Shimano rotor in the rear along with new brakes. As I understood it, the 160 IS to PM adapters are like a -/+ 0mm adapter for a native IS frame regardless of size, and the 180mm are a +20mm and so on.

It looks like I have a native 140mm frame with a +20mm adapter? If that's so I'd need something like a +40mm adapter. Perhaps a SRAM 200 PM adapter?.
Or maybe I can mount a 180 Flat/PM on top of the stock adapter and get +40 that way, but I think I'd need longer bolts.

Is it me or Shimano made this way too complicated?

I have Aurigas on my bike and it has reach adjustment with a 2mm Allen wrench. Does yours?

I also found that replacing the Tektro pads with Shimano B01 pads on was a super upgrade, and I wondeedr how different really they are from MT200s after they have the same pads.

After all this the only problem I have with them is the word "Tektro" on them.

I actually have the Auriga M290's. Mine had the adjustment on the outer side of the lever.

I swapped the original screw for a philips one that was longer and dab of blue loctite. Worked like a charm.

I'd like to replicate that reach on the MT200's, hopefully I won't have to do that again.
