Good folks with a much more familiar voice than what I see in other publications. I often read it cover to cover - even the East Coast regional stuff that seemed so foreign to this East Bay native. Usually, for many years, it was pretty dang good. Definitely will miss finding it in my otherwise uninteresting pile of mail.

I never cancelled my subscription, but the last year or two I had considered whether or not to renew. The content seemed to change a bit (or maybe I changed) - I found it less engaging. I wonder if cost of doing business was changing inversely to subscription numbers.

Any other good hardcopy subscriptions out there? I think I'm going to miss the ritual.

I hope someone backs up everything posted on the website and mirrors it someplace else. Their articles are time capsules of mountain biking.
Agree. Dirt rag was the past that we came from and the future that is lacking.

That's a bummer, though not that I contributed to it by buying or subscribing to it, so that explains at lot. So many legacy things will disappear as those that recall them and enjoyed them stopped funding them. From toys'r'us to dirt rag, we have collectively sought the same information and products from the internet, and thus they expire, sadly and as former shells of themselves.

RIP Dirt Rag. I may never have found my forever home with you but i enjoyed hanging out whenever I had the chance.

Wasn't the Dirt Rag booth always right next to the MTBR booth at Sea Otter?

I always liked their magazine, especially when I bought a 1 year subscription from the school kids selling subscriptions, and Dirt Rag ended up giving me like 3+ more years for the price of one renewal.

"What am I going to do with 20 subscriptions to Vibe Magazine!?"

I LOVE DirtRagFest and will miss it greatly.

Same here. Sad news. I have reservations at Seven Points and I'm not canceling, so I'll be there regardless.

Dirtrag hinted on Facebook about the possibility of Dirtfest still happening on a smaller scale, but it seems the post has been removed.

The Allegrippis Trails crew has also mentioned the possibility of having a fest.

I guess we'll see.

What a bummer. I’ve subscribed for 7 years. They strongly supported high school MTB/NICA.

This makes Bike Magazine the only general one left, right? (I don’t even know if MBA still exists)
