anyone know what determines the color (white or red) of the badge on the head tube?

I thought it might be based on the color of the bike or c/cc frame, but I’ve seen both colors on the same color bike and c and cc frames

Black with red writing is CC.

As stated: Red letters = CC frame

And I find it tacky AF! I'm actually not a fan of the black really either. I liked the simple silver badge from previous years.

Yea, I'm not really liking the red either, but I'm getting ready to order a cc frame so I guess I'm going to learn to live with it

I wish they stuck with the silver, looks so much better

You can order silver badge from SC directly (as well as black, black/red, black/white).

Badges are under "Gear" on SC website.

I think you're right, I only see Juliana's badges now. Here is the link I had for black badge, but it is no longer working:
