I recently picked up a new bike. It's the first new bike I've had in over 2 decades and I'm on a kick to actually take care of it. We are in a drought and it's dusty on the trails. The bike comes home covered in dust.
I've always heard that water is the enemy, but I'm sure dust in the chain, on the shocks, and in the detailers isn't helping anything either. I clean/lube the chain ever 2-3 rides when it starts to get gunky, but am I doing more harm than good hosing the rest of it down after riding??? I just want to make sure I'm not getting water anywhere it doesn't need to be.
Thanks in advance!
