If you're ever out in the West Valley, there are some fun trails just off SR85 south of the Gila River. They've been there for years, never made it over until last Friday. Fun stuff, mostly easy/intermediate XC type trails. If you're in the area, check 'em out. Probably not necessarily worth a hour+ drive just to ride them, but still fun.

Dog Bone Trails

Potential for b-line fun here.

Fun loop on the way to the Bat Cave.

Bikes are fun!!

The elusive Batman formation.

Thanks for the post. I often camp across the hwy at the rec area when I head to AZ to ride, so I'm sure I'll check those out at some point.
I recall you saying you camped in Buckeye during your drives over here. The trail that heads east on my route actually continues quite a bit farther. It would be real easy to link up with F.I.N.S., etc.

HHHMMMM...this all seems a little FINSy.....probably just a coincidence....;)
Yeah, I believe the guy that built the Dog Bone trails also had a hand in the F.I.N.S. stuff too since there's a trail named after him there. The two systems are only about 8 miles apart.

Well, I guess I'm gonna have to check these out. I've been dabbling a little at Skyline, got bored of FINS, and have never been thrilled with my route choices at anything in or near Estrella.

I'm always up for new trails, and living around Westgate makes this relatively convenient.

Have you tried the pirate trails about by FINS?
