Has anyone gone from a CCDB coil to a 11 6 with a Nomad 3? I already have a CCDB and I'm pretty happy with how it rides. I am curious if the 11 6 would be worlds better though :)
I did that.
I took off my CCDB Air cs (which i really didn't liked) and put on a 2n hand CCDB coil that i had bought just to see how the N3 worked with a coil shock and the N3 simply went to a whole new level... IMO it improved like 150%.
I was really blown away with the change.
When everyone started to rave and praise about the 11/6 i got temped to get one, but the high price and the fact that i was so happy with the CCDB coil hold me back.
After about a year i finally gave up to curiosity and got an 11/6.
I can tell you that at first i was kind of disappointed with the 11/6 mostly because it felt more like and air shock to me than the CCDB coil and also because i only use it in one mode ("DH" mode) so it wasn't really an improvement over the CCDB coil.
With time i changed the setting on the 11/6 and made it work like what i fell isa proper coil shock and now i can say i'm very happy with it.
More so than with the CCDB coil, as the 11/6 feels more consistent everywhere.
If you have the coin get an 11/6 because you'll be getting a better shock than the CCDB coil and you'll have two separate circuits (setups) at the flip of a button, but if you are already happy with the CCDB coil and don't feel the need for another circuit (setup) i doubt you will be mind browned.

Thanks for the detailed answer! I actually picked up a 11/6 for a 5010 V2 I'm building up. I can see how the 11/6 performs on a smaller travel bike and go from there.

Hopefully there's a sale on the 11/6 over the winter and it'll be more palatable to pick one up for the Nomad.

I'm 265 lbs with gear. Losing weight. Can the 11-6 handle this much weight? Is it easy to swap for lighter springs if I drop weight?
I'd check with push on the weight question, as 265 is over for the Bronson, or at the top of the damper specs for the Nomad 3. I don't know that being a few pounds over would hurt the shock, but would definitely make it easier to blow through the travel. The spring is really easy to swap, the most painful part is paying for the new one ;)

Either way I'd have a quick call with them before dropping that kind of cash.

I'm looking at an gen 1 11 - 6 for my V3 Nomad and I'm curious if I'm missing out on a lot compared to the new gen 2 11 - 6 with micro XD coating. Has anyone tried both generations?
I have the Gen 1 on my Nomad and I don't feel like I'm missing out. I have a gen 2 on my SB5C and it feels just as good but unfortunately two different styles of riding. I'm not sure if I want to pay $214 for the upgrade when I send my shock in for a service since its doing a phenomenal job as is. Out of the updates Id probably just want the larger reservoir since I plan to do a lot more park riding as I got rid of my DH bike.

Kind of a bummer since they claimed that "updates" would be free. But the line between Upgrade and Update is blurry.

Thanks! I think I'll look for a V2 if it costs $214 for the upgrade. Knowing myself, I'll spend that money at some point, might as well get it upfront :)

I have a V1 on my 5010 and so far so good.

Can I identify the generation by the reservoir color? It looks like V2 has a black reservoir.

Picked up a V2 today for my Nomad! I know winter is coming, but I can hardly wait :)

Just ordered one in Liquid Black for my Hightower, way excited. Good timing,:madman: after a non winter in northern Utah, where I've been riding (at lower elevations) all winter, we just got hammered with a big storm. Don't know whether to be happy to finally be able to powder ski or bummed because it'll be a while before I can ride the Hightower. Back on the fat bike for a bit............

If you go to the Push website, go to the Elevensix support link. It’s a link to the owners manual with instructions for setting sag. It’s accomplished with the pre-load adjuster & eye to eye measurements. Per the manual, sag doesn’t come pre set & needs to be set to your riding weight after you install it
