Cannondale, cannondale, cannondale....hmm. Never heard of them. There was a brand a couple of years ago that sounded similar, but they had a bad reputation, and I kinda stopped hearing about them. I think they were called....Crackandfail? That sounds right.
LOL. Some may point out that Giant was able to surpass Cannondale in the sheer number of cracked frames. However that was only due to the popularity of the Anthem.

Lets not forget you’re specificly watching fail videos. For every fail you see theres hundreds if not thousand of hours of undocumented bicycles riden with no problems whatsoever. I personally have broken one big name brand frame and bent a couple name brand forks, cranks, cogs, saddles. Im a lightweight but these were used for trials, quite stressfull, and the frame failure came soon after i started playing with front tire hops, which stresses bike in a way they are not designed for.
I am impressed by my Voodoo i had that i replaced the midrange name brand frame i broke. That thing took a beating, dented tubes and all, and kept going!

Quoted to a guy who has two broken Anthem 29er frames to his count :)

Yeah, the ratio of bikes sold to frames broken puts the title squarely on cannondale's shelf.

Frames breaking is not exclusive to cheap bikes.
I have had 5 big name frames crack, and I don't even really jump. AND I never weighed more than 190#.
Yup, same here. No jumps, no big drops, old man doing regular trail riding, broken a pile of frames, mostly big name and $$. Turner, Intense, Cannondale, Trek, Haro, Sinister, more Specialized than I can count on both hands...everything is going to break if you ride it on challenging trails regularly IME. Though I've gotta say I haven't yet broken a steel bike, though I've seen it happen to others.

Were these reasonably new frames or after a few years? I am wondering if fatigue has anything to do with it, especially the aluminum frames.

Most broke within the couple years.

I used to go through 2-3 chainstays and at least 1 seatstay per season when I rode FSRs; the main frames would usually last 2-3 seasons. My current ride, I'm getting a full season out of chainstays, which isn't great but not terrible.

if ou ahd GINAT, problems would not iccur, GIANT is lflawless
