Just need to know before I pull the trigger on a pair of Kenda Nevegal 26x2.5" if they fit on my 2008 Rush. I know officially 2.35 is max. tire accepted but that brace on the swingarm can be removed and tabs can be grinded off w/out any issues.
So ...anybody tested wide tires on Rush???

I think it's the same swingarm as the Prophet once the arch and tabs are gone. I am looking at a Nevegal 2.35 on my son's Prophet with 26" tires and there is room. If you have a Lefty, the 2.5" will fit up front. So go 2.5" front and 2.35" rear.

Any chance that 2.5" would fit in the back?
can you please measure for me the lateral clearance and maybe total distance inside the triangle (whichever is smaller at top bars or bottom bars).
Thank you so much for your help!

I measured 2-7/8" at the top bars and 2-3/4" at the lower cross section. You should be fine. But that's a beefy tire for a bike like the Rush.
It is..but when you need traction, you need traction...steep terrain, loose gravel and sharp turns....I'd like to give my Rush a chance before switching to plus bikes(which they have their advantage but they are kinda $$$).
Thank you again for your help.

No problem. You can upgrade to a 650b wheelset on the Rush if I'm not mistaken. I converted my Prophet years ago. I run the new e13 TRS + on the front and back. Super traction. Bit heavy and not super fast rolling.
