I have the R model (no hi-low speed) and i am very happy with it. i heard tales about how linear the fork was and had did not ramp up on big hits. bunch of shiit. the fork works awesome! i can add the Hi-Low in the future if i want to but im very happy with the fork as-is. just get the right spring for your weight, adjust the pre-load and set the reboud to your liking. you probably will never touch the fork again, atleast non-sexually.

Thats just the kind of thing I wanted to hear, I just ordered a 40R.

Yea I think you will be more than happy with just the R model. The RC2 gets two sets of compression that unless you are a very sensitive rider, you probably won't notice. The fox comes preset so excellent that you probably wont need to tweak it too much and even if u had the option, you probably wouldnt. Have fun with it!
