No problem, Shimano adapters are pretty straight in my opinion.

But as I said, make sure you have enough frame clearance.
Sharp rotating hard steel rotors can cut through aluminum frames like butter, at least 5mm to be safe due to frame flex.

Found one at a local bike shop guess I'm stuck with this other one I ordered which was wrong. Should have came here first to confirm what I needed. Not worth sending it back[emoji31]

Looks like it's going to work I put on these new ice Tech rotors getting rid of the resin pad only Factory rotors.

I just pulled the front rotor off and tried it on the back since it's center-lock it's very simple to do my other rotor should be here Friday.

If anyone sees anything wrong with this please let me know[emoji6]

I do see other examples of this kind of mounting on an image search on Google so I'm hoping this works out.

By the way it spins smoothly the brake works fine it actually bolted right up no problem not a bit of noise.

Thanks duane[emoji111] [emoji2]

Okay so I ordered the wrong rotors this sucks mountain biking sure did get complicated this all used to be so easy. Now I know that deore/ XT is different than XTR / Saint I guess nothing is standard when it comes to brakes. I was planning on switching to XTR brakes I think that's where the confusion happened.
I wish there were compatibility charts for this stuff can't find anything on shimano's website. I will just hang on to this stuff till next month when I get my new calipers and levers.
Right now I have m447 they seem really week test Road a friends bike and his brakes were awesome XTR

I guess you live and learn at least I didn't screw up the new Wheels those are awesome😉

You mean something like this: Shimano Disc brake caliper and Rotor compatibility ;)

Your setup it's not ideal. One time I broke a ceramic piston from my XT and temporarily replaced the entire caliper with one from a M395 I had laying around. And the same thing happened to me. I didn't felt comfortable with it and moved the caliper to the back where I was still using a wider rotor type.

I don't know if there is any problem with it, and in your case it's possible that you will damage the fins, so its up to you.

Just what I needed definitely looking to upgrade brakes I'm a heavy rider and I'm starting to go faster and faster and I'm finding these brakes are inadequate. Would really like a whole new bike but that's going to have to wait.

In your case I would go with Zee os Saints, all in all they are better brakes.
More powerful, better modulation and better heat management.
I have a set of Zees and they are a waste on me around 95% of the time, I weight around 80Kg full equipped, but I could get them for the same price I could get another pair of XTs, so I was "why not", and I'm happy I did.

Well I decided to just upgrade the brakes I don't think I'm going to have any problem with this setup super easy to install took me about an hour.

Everything works great hopefully I can test ride after work today.
