I just installed a Deity cockpit on an S+ build (picture attached).

Full modifications:

Hubs: I9
Rims: Nox Farlow 29" (still have stock + wheelset)
Brakes: Formula R0
Rotors: Formula 203\180
Pedals: HT AE03
Saddle: Deity Speedtrap
Stem: Deity Copperhead 35mm
Bars: Deity Mohawk DC31
Grips: Deity Knuckleduster
Shock: Fox Float X2
Chainring: Absolute Black 26T Cinch Oval

Future:
Crankset: Raceface Next R
Bottom Bracket: Probably cheap Raceface don't see the need for $$$ there

May do a custom carbon plus wheelset as well once I have everything else.

Nice!! Post pics when your done.

It doesn't matter they are the same exact shock with the exception of a travel limiter on the inner shaft.

Thanks, it's good to know that
a) 200x51 gives such a good results and
b) same shock can be modified between 51 and 57 mm stroke...

Hi, I'm an italian owner of an hightower (year 2017) and i'm going to upgrade the rear shock with the monarch plus, exactly as in the photo of the post #5.
I've found this old thread and I hope someone can solve my doubt.
When the monarch plus is at the end of the stroke is there a still a gap from the upper part of the shock and the top tube?
I'm afraid to have a damage on the tube...
Thank you.
Bye
Max

To all the people having rockshox issues I never got mine to work out with my Hightowerr...the newer cane Creek db air IL worked perfectly.HSC/LSC, HSR/LSR and by far.thr best climb switch I have used for long climbing of fire roads.

2019 Santa Cruz Hightower CS build with a few upgrades..

Upgrades are as follows...

Got rid of the SRAM Guide R brakes and got the Shimano XT M8000 brakes with Ice tech rotors 203 front 180 rear..

Loved the Reverb (when it worked) and got the One Up 150mm... Flawless !! Coupled that with the PNW Loam lever. You guessed it. With the orange rubber part on the lever.

Ceramic BB

Industry 9 Enduro S wheelset w Hydra hubs. And Nobby Nic Addix Speed Grip tires in 29 x 2.35

Fox fork is now 150mm with 2 spacers... Rear shock has the largest (orange) volume spacer. I'm a Clyde and like hoplng around, jumping and drops. So orange it is.

And a few colorful anodized bling bling parts like Salsa seatpost clamp in orange... Some Circus Monkey orange stem spacers etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
Ohhh and lock on, orange foam Ritchey grips... Rockguardz carbon bottom of frame protector, and frame tape protection on all the key parts.

Hey Arzi71,
i upgraded to the monach plus too on my non LT Hightower and the shock fits with no issue.
Hey wytemike21,
i like the monarch plus way more then the stock DPS factory (cc custom frame build). I run a lyrik rct3 up front and the shock and the fork are using the same ammount of travel with 30% sag in the back and 25% in the front. I'm a tall rider and about 95kg and the monarch isn't blowing through it's travel as the DPS.
