Just picked up so Bridgers 27.5x3.0. Was all my local shop had in stock and needed something fast.
Have just installed and see for the 3.0 tire it says, min psi is 30. That is like double what I was running on my ground controls which just came off.

Do you really have to run them at 30-45 psi as per it says on tire. My pump only goes up to 30psi.
Have a big ride this week. So dont want to get caught with tire problems.

Im a heavy, tall guy and was running ground controls 15psi front and 17psi rear.

Which versions are you running and what versions were the ground controls? There are 2 different casings on GCs and on WTB plus tires.

Much if that is liability because of the whole issue of some tires and rim combos are not the greatest (kind of loose fitting) so there is a burping risk.

I'm 285 and run the trail boss and ranger 3.0 on tcs light. My rear is at about 22 psi. I run i45 WTB rims though (some oem thing WTB did with cannondale, heavier versions of the scrapers). Seating the beads takes 40 psi and they are a son of a biatch to get back off the bead seat.

Don't go off of what you ran your GCs at though. You'll have to test them. I run slightly higher than how i used to set my tires which was go down till I feel a light rim strike and add a couple psi. Gain cornering traction and drop some rolling resistance.

Beyond that, make sure the tires are hard to seat when setting up (need soap and water and over 30 psi to get the last 2 pops) then enjoy. If they don't take a lot to seat fully it means your rims aren't oversized/lipped on the bead seat and I would run a little higher to avoid the burps.

That set up your golden. Id play with pressures a tad though. But im not a fan on really low pressures. Rolling resistance increases more than any gain except comfort (i ride a hardtail)

I had tough casings before (fast rolling versions still) and i got buy with lower pressure but seams at least on the ranger there is a point where the outer, high grip compound starts to drag things down. Same on the light version. Never found a change in cornering grip except running down low. Front and rear sounded like they were clawing to maintain grip in the corners more at low pressures.

I havent ran the bridger yet. My set up now still has 2x the grip my 29er ever did, havent found their limit yet.

take your gauge/pump and experiment between 15-20psi f/r....and by all means do not be swayed by the sidewall print.

Me : 185 In ride gear, 10 pound pack, My Plus bike is 28 pounds,
27.5+ Hard Tail on 35mm Inside diameter rims and 2.8 wide's.
I ride at 13-14 psi front and 14-15 psi rear depending on wet or dry trails
