And here's something new from Surly...
Yup- 1 outer and 1 inner link.Suspense is killing me. CCMaxi-I think you recommended taking 2 links out is that right?
I actually think the blue will good. Better of course with gold bolts. I did get the ring on the crank. Bolts fit but could be longer. Not my area of expertise obviously.
No s***? It didn't work? How does removing two teeth and two links not equal the same thing? Oh well, probably should do 30x17 if you have the cog. Can't ride much anyway. Chain is just under 1/2 link too short if I remove an inner/outer. How about 30 x17? Still be a touch easier than 32x18 and would allow me to keep the big meats out back.
SS is complicated all of a sudden.
I'm also in possession of a Ranger 3.0 Tough that might just get the call to the big leagues tonight. Give me a chance to try the Crux on the ECR, or tomorrow H-spam could play with the Crux.
You still could make it work on a half link chain if you said the chain is off by a half link!Nope, no 17. 30x17 is lower than 32x18 but not by enough probably.
I won't let the chainring lie unused but...I'm saying screw the Crux for now and am popping that Ranger on the rear! 32x19 is the closest to the gear I want to run and I can make that happen. Kinda feel like H-spam over here, and just like him I'll take the time to try the Crux on the ECR just so we know.
What tubeless method are you using? The tire did not, would not, will not mount to the rim. Kinda sick of it, had my hopes up for a 30x18 and now I've got nothing.
Cheapest option is to bail out--XL WED for sale!
Darn, sorry to hear that. Its already partially broken down so I'm continuing with that. Boxing her up tomorrow.
I bet the Crux fits in the rear of an ICT.Once my patience fully returns I'll likely try the Ranger again, as you said originally that is the obvious solution.
Or I'll sell the WED and get a Chumba Ursa.
just dont follow him too closely or you'll run over him at some point when he wrecks!

I'll interrupt Matt's regularly scheduled bike woes with some Northern NM snow pics.

I didn't write any books but did spend many months destroying tamarisk in all the side canyons that have water. Really can't beat that place. What time should I be at the Ferry?Yep, Some side hikes and such planned. One boater headed out w/ us has written a book on such side canyons. Will be a taking a light harness and debris for some rope work.
I traded emails w/ QBP, Monkey Nuts are (no surprise) pushed back. In his words "a few months".
