So i have an issue with my bronson, the dropper seat (rockshox reverb) cable rattles inside the frame going downhill and it's pretty LOUD.

anyone has the same issue or a fix for it?...

i also could not install the rubber grommets for the internal cables on the frame. The rubber grommets are too small for the cables to fit thru it and it will most likely KINK it. this is a 2016 bronson cc.

Try trimming the grommets. They are there to prevent exactly what you are talking about. Also you could slip a very small oring over the end of the cable an pull it back into the frame. Just make sure it's small enough to not get stuck in the frame.

I have a 5010, and Nomad (both have the same internal routing)and a Rockshox Reverb Stealth and there is absolutely no noise that comes from the cables inside the frame. The rubber grommets may be hard to push in but they do fit. I have found I need to "wet" them to help ease them in. Water is usually fine but I prefer a little teflon I have that helps better. I would imagine without the grommets you would get a lot of noise. They will not kink the hose when installed properly.....you kinda got slide the grommet and hose together.

i got this bike online from competitive cyclist pre-built and they did not install the grommets.
however they left it for me in a bag.
The grommets i have are all the same size, but notice on the frame, one side takes 2 cables, another side takes just one (the dropper side cable). I tried to install the grommet for the dropper post cable alone and it was insanely tight.

can you share some photos of your bike? .. maybe that will help.

btw, i'm returning this bronson replacing it with a 5010. so let's hope they did install the grommets for me this time or else i will have to do it myself.
i'm a bit wondering if they did that on purpose to avoid kinking any cables.

The grommets are a royal pain in the ass to get in. First you need to put it on the cable and then I used lots of 99% alcohol to lube it and pushed/pull the other end of the cable to get it in. It's almost impossible to do it dry.

oh u know what, i have 2 derailures, full xt with front and rear derailure. so i have 2 cables going thru the side hole. maybe that's why the tech who built it, skipped that step.i really think it will be impossible to fit 2 wires.
but i will install the dropper side on the 5010 if they don't do it.
maybe that will help with the rattle a bit.

I don't think that's right I converted my 5010 to a 1x and what I remember the front derailleur is external. It was zip tied to brake line externally.

so does anyone running 2 wires in that hole and using a grommet? maybe i should contact santa cruz hehe. :D.

i think at worst case, i will just install the dropper cable grommet and hopefully the rattle noise will be greatly reduced.

Try this. ^

with how hard it is to get one cable in the frame with a grommet, two cables and a grommet seems unlikely. The fit with 2 cables looks good, don't see those rattling at all.
yes i think so too.

another solution would be to inject that expanding foam construction use for insulation hehehe .. joking. :D.

i'm pretty sure the rattles are just from the dropper seat cable.. so one grommet should do the trick!.

the frame should have a drain hole right? since water will be free to enter the frame from that hole without a grommet... I only saw a plastic cover on the bottom,

Any water that enters the derailleur side will drain from where it exits the frame near the seat tube.

Dropper grommet will keep water out on that side

The internal routing is described as being a continuous tube "like a straw molded into the frame" so it will only fill up the straw, not the entire frame. On the dropper side it might fill up the seat tube but that's about it. Derailleur side will drain right out the bottom.

i tried using chain lube.. ah what ever, as long as the rattle is gone it's cool.
