I have a 1991 Kona Hei Hei that is in need of replacement decals and could use some buffing to restore its Ti luster. I know the original decals won`t be available but I`d like to know if there are any graphic houses that could reproduce them? Also... how can I restore the titanium to its original beauty?

Thanks for the help.

I had a '91. Serial #017. Sweet ride.

These are '93 decals, pretty close IIRC.

Rich Cox at Kona was always pretty good at polishing tubes......

You know I tried Konretro before posting this and even downloaded the 93 decal file but to no avail. My version of Corel Draw (program that opens the file) is to new. I think it needs an older version - like v.1 or 2.

What to do now? How can I get those decals?

I just opened it with Corel Draw 11, and that's a pretty new version. The newer versions should be backwards compatible (this isn't MS Word...). I'm pretty sure you can open the file with Illustrator as well, if you have that option.

Need tires to restore it too? I still have some NOS Joe Murray Maximum 2.2s kevlars which at least were the correct front tire for the '91 Hei-Hei. I might still be able to get some wire bead Reaction 2.0s from my distributor (if that wanker who bought the WALL of old stuff a month ago didn't clean them out) also which are the correct rear model for 1991.

Another vote for Mike S. He had my artwork done and proofed in 4 days. About 2 weeks to be finished, and very reasonable $$.

Maybe your version of Corel is older than the decal set. My Version 12 also opens the file perfectly.

Nice decals. I guess my version of Corel is too old. But Mike the decal guy and I are talking.

Dee-8... you`re in Canada right. I`m in Toronto. I`ll certainly keep you in mnd when it comes to tires. It`s easy to feel overwhelmed trying to get all the right parts. One step at a time. Finishing the frame is first.
