After seeing a tiny crack in my 40, I took it off and sent it to Fox.... just got it back with only paying for shipping to them!! It has the new casting numbers and feels just as good as it ever did. :D Nice to see them stand up to their warranty.
 
that is real cool for them replacing, but maybe they should step up to the plate and pay shipping (losing profit) because the fork breaks in the same place...therefore an internal flaw on their part
 
I'm glad you got it fixed but I wouldn't really call it 'good news' when a very expensive product that is supposed to last for a long time breaks right away but you don't get totally screwed because you only had to go without for a few weeks instead of going without and paying hundreds of dollars like a lot of others. I'd say it sucks that an expensive product broke and you had a few weeks of downtime and had to pay out of your wallet for some of the cost. It's just not the worst case scenario...


IMO, the DH40 sucks.
