Following, I think I have pivot bearing issues also. Taking bike to shop after my fall break to have the fork (Pike) serviced and pivots checked out. Did you take the fame apart to check the pivots or is there a way to do it when assembled?

Unbolt shock and cycle the rear end by hand.. If it doesn't feel smooth and supple, you have some worn bearings.
Expect to pay around 80-100 labor + the bearing kit (around $50 give or take)
It will be more expensive if the hardware also needs replaced.

Thanks dude, that's what I needed to know. I'm good with the labor charge since it takes some pretty special tools to remove the pivots and bearings and to install them.
