I just had my Sweep RL2 delivered yesterday to put on my Flux. From what other Flux owners and some friends have told me is that the Sweep is very underrated. Once the build is finished and I've ridden it some I will post my findings. Just from looking at it and the cost I'm sure it will be good.

Just put a sweep on my Blur TRc, still breaking it in, about 2 hours of riding on it. Feels much better than the float 32 that was on there. ~200lbs geared up with water and pack running @ 78psi.

What length are you running the sweep at?
I am considering doing the same to my TRc and running it at 130.

@ferros,

Ran at 160 and wouldn't recommend. I' now at 150 and it feels good, about a 66* ha, I might try at 140. I ride rocky az terrain, so I don't mind the higher BB. Right now i'm sitting just a hair over 14".

I blew the lock out (blue) cap off the damper (right) fork leg after a hard bottom out on this weekends ride. I heard a clank at bottom out then heard something aluminum hit the ground. By time I could get stopped oil was squirting out the small hole in the fork cap where the lock out dial used to screw in. It looks like whatever that little screw screws into broke off, not the screw. The screw is still in the lock out dial/cap screwed into something else that appears to broken off.

Anyone heard of this happening or have an idea why it happened. It had not bean getting full travel the last couple of rides even on bigger hits. Don't know if that was a related problem but I haven't pulled it apart yet to see what's going on.

I'm thinking a fork should not do this.

Edit: Ok, After spending an hour or two reading through this thread I suspect this may have happened as a result of too much trapped air in the damper side combined with a hard bottom out. Just a theory but it also explains the loss of travel over the last few rides.

Repairable or am I going to have to send it to X Fusion?

Need your help!
Exactly which adapter (name brand and exact type) do I need to run a 203 mm disc on my Sweep?
FYI: I ordered a Formula 6" to 203 mm adapter, but there is too much distance now. I can use a +20 mm adapter combined with some washers underneath but I don't like that.

The adapter is specific to the brake caliper manufacturer. i.e. if you're running a Shimano caliper, you want a Shimano Mount Adapter for a Front brake, 180mm to 203mm adapter for a Post mount caliper on a Post-type fork, part# SM-MA-F203P/P. Looks like this: Shimano SM-MA-F203P/P Front Disc Brake Adapter

If you're using an Avid brake, you need an Avid adapter, or a Formula adapter for a Formula brake, etc. In theory any post mount to post mount adapter should get you the right offset from the rotor, but the calipers are shaped differently and thus each adapter has to accommodate the shape of the caliper body.

Well, that's what I thought too, so I tried the Shimano adapter: WRONG!

Yesterday the solution was delivered: a Fox 180-203 adapter, and this one actually works. Model: 820-09-009-KIT
Universal has it: https://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=68235
I found this reading on a Fox36 thread where people are struggling with the same problem.

Here's a picture to prove, notice that is has different shape and sizing than the Shimano adapter:

Hey guys, Jenson has what looks to be a pretty sweet deal on an OE sweep. Does anyone know if there are any differences between this and the normal consumer one? The details state its the RL2 damper with the midvalve, and its 100-160 travel. Assuming thats correct, its probably the same as the consumer dressed fork, no? Mine will be here Friday, if you guys can just clue me in on what to look for.

Also, what are the travel intervals on the sweep? I had heard 100-160 in 20 mm intervals, but the 130 has me questioning this. Perhaps it comes with the 10mm spacer already in there?
