It seems as if the tread pattern is almost the same, the CST being a little chunkier and 200gms heavier than its equal size Maxxis.. is this just a rip off copy... I heard a whisper that CST were a company under Maxxis's control..

Both Folding Bead 26" x 2.25 and 26" x 2.40

Any feedback appreciated.

okay thanks.. as they are cheap I got my hands on a set this evening and they actually look better made than what they are copying but the proof is in the riding so we will see.. if they are just as good or even better then I am gonna snap up a few at this price as they are 50% cheaper than their Maxxis equal..

Took them out for a ride today.. They look similar but they are not the same.. not as visually flat as the Maxxis.. which of course means they roll a bit better as there is less resistance.. Sidewalls feel thicker and the bead is certainly harder to get on the rim. They behave well in loose over hardpack stuff so I like that and braking has not really been tested out fully yet nor their abilities in the wet.. I will keep an open mind over the coming months especially as autumn approaches as things will get a little damp.
