I just finished changing stems on my Brodie Holeshot. (urban/jump hardtail)

I`m wondering if it`s o.k to use a carbon spacer under the stem because the stack height
is different than my old stem & i had a carbon spacer left over from changing bar position on my road bike.

How much force is actually put on the spacer itself if the stem is torqued properly ?

Tomorrow is Sunday & my l.b.s is closed, but i would like to ride some urban.

I won`t risk it if there is a chance of the spacer blowing apart and my stem sliding down the steerer.

Any thoughts ???

That carbon spacer is one of the last things you'll ever need to worry about breaking. All the forces that count are going the other direction.

No problem.
