Hi guys,
I know this subject has been brought up but none of the posts really gave me an answer as there was a lot of speculation and comparison to other DPA forks. Hopefully now there are enough people riding these forks to help us folks who haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm ready to buy a Pike and would appreciate the Dual Position only for climbing but not if it compromises the fork performance when going downhill at all, not even a bit. Please chime in on your Dual Position Pike thoughts. No Single Air thoughts please, we know the single air kicks major ass.

I have one on my tallboy LTC and its an awesome fork BUT when i switch it back to 150mm after riding a few minutes in 120mm mode it won't return on its own while I'm riding. I have to stop, un-weight the bike and it slowly comes back on its own. Im not sure whats up with it but it is a pita.

Thats not what I wanted to hear! Im going to order a Pike in about 6 hours, can anybody else confirm or deny Dual Position issues? I'm very torn!

And whats a pita?

pita no good, gotcha. I also heard the DPA doesnt allow the use of the tokens to make it more progressive if needed. maybe the single air is the way to go? I really want the travel adjust for climbing though? T minus 5 hours to go...

I got my DPA this week so I can't give you to much details since I went only for a light ride yesterday (1 hour or so) but worked without issues and with a flick of a switch it went up and down by itself.

One thing that also made me a believer of this system was my brother's Lyrik DPA that still works without any issues after a full year.

In any case, it's just an easy pull from the handlebar which is not a big deal after a climb that required lowering the fork. I even appreciated Dual Position coil that I had on my Sektor, a system that is really a pain to operate.

Trailblazer, by the way, I wonder what made you choose Revelation one Pike.

Two reasons, I wanted the ease of it coming in 120/150 size which will be perfect for my terrains and bike geometry.

Second, the price, I got mine on a steal for $450.
The full price is near $800 for a DP Rev 150 and a Pike DP is near 1000 (for the "Dual Position" models) though some ebay sales are a little less.

I also considered the show-off-factor, I didn't feel I needed to spend the extra cash on the new Pike because the level of riding I'm doing, the Revelation should be dynamite.

Well i ordered the dusl position air version. After talking with some local shops the consensus seems to be that the dpa is fully separate from the rest of the system cant really have an effect on the performsnce vs the single air system. If anybody wants to buy a fox 34 160 27.5 let me know!

I get your point on the price but I thought discounts appeared also in the US , since in Europe price it's almost the same. Regarding extra travel, I'm coming from a 150-120mm Sektor and the extra 10 mm. Doesn't hurt at all.
