Just looked over the GT IT-1. Looks pretty cool. Nice components and all that, and after actually looking at it I get how it works. Only thing I dont like is the obnoxious chainstay, being 19" long. What do you guys think of it?

Chaz you silly man I'm not asking as if I'm buying it, I'm asking to see waht people think in general. Besides, I'm looking into that VP Free.

the chainstay isnt 19" long, and the bike isnt even in production yet (should be starting soon). Theres has been like 5 different prototype and pre-production models floating on the net so you may not even be looking at the right one.

One of my LBS shops said they can order one already. But I dunno, I saw the one on this site. This 1. http://gallery.mtbr.com/showphoto.php?photo=11284
yeah thats the latest prototype, and sure you can order them, although you probably wont get it until next year. The chainstay was said to be around 17.5" i think, and long swingarms are the norm with high pivot bikes. This isnt the type of bike purchase you base on 'looks'.....
