Getting ready to replace my raw frame and have been going back & forth on what color will be next. I have never been brave enough to have a bright colored bike but seem to be drawn to them out in the wild. Matte black would be my next choice which are polar opposites. Here are a few frames I am considering. The Warden would be either flouro green or ano black and the range carbon is a matte black. Either build will have all black build.

On the mountains, I have always liked loud. Road, more subtle. That said, my one mountain bike is white/black/grey, and the other one is grey.

I liked my bright yellow Y33 the best so far for color though.

Loving the green...
Out of all the bright colors that Kawasaki green is the best.
Too many black bikes out there. Black exploded in the last 5 years and now there's just too many of them.

I'm a fan of bright colored bikes, so I'm generally drawn to the louder colored bikes. However, I am also a fan of the matte black frames when the graphics are a bright contrasting color (like fluro/lime green). Of the frames you pictured, the Knolly would be my first choice followed by the Norco - both attractive bikes! I also like the Knolly for the simplicity of the graphics. The one complaint I have concerning my Trek EX8 (white frame/black & silver) graphics is that the graphics are overdone. On any of those bikes, I would be removing the wheel stickers pretty quickly. Yeah, I might be a little OCD when it comes to colors and the look I want.

Matte Black was cool when the Cannondale Bad Boy came out. Then every company went overboard with it and now everyone and their brother has a matte black bike. I dig the fluoro colors, I started biking in the 80s so it kind of brings me back to my youth. One of my friends had a Haro FST that was Fluro green and I always loved that bike.

Wow, a lot of replies, awesome! Most seem to be leaning towards the brighter side. Those who say they will end up dirty or earth colored anyways, I beg to differ. I live in dry conditions and take care of my bikes so unavoidable scratches & rock chips is all.

Some have mentioned removal of wheel stickers on both bikes above, my build kit consists of Derby carbon wheels that have no decals, Pike fork, Next SL cranks, 35mm (new standard, Lol..) Havoc carbon bar/stem combo so basically all black. Something tells me with all these carbon parts I have, shouldn't I also have a carbon frame!?

IDK........90% of the bikes I have owned over the last 14 years have been white.....have owned 2 black bikes.....both carbon, v.1 TallboyC and my Felt F1 roadbike. The TallboyC is now white, but I still have the Felt.

I just wish more rim manuf's would make silver rims again.....so over the black.

Always thought how a bike rode and felt was most important.
There is no doubt thisis true and ultimately I will go with the best bike for me. I am still deciding on the 2 posted above and I have a few weeks left as they will both be released around the same time. That being said, if I go with the Warden, it can be had in several colors...

I was never a huge fan of the bright colors, I think they look good now but what about a couple years from now, will it be played out? Black will always look good in my opinion. That being said, here are my two bikes

I've always been a bright colored bike guy when I have a choice. But usually I just wind up buying the one that's available.

My MTB is yellow. It had the component spec I wanted when I bought it. It replaced another yellow bike, which itself replaced a gloss black bike. My commuter is blue. It was the only color available as just a frameset. My wife's bike is glossy raw carbon with a couple purple ano accents. Pretty low key, really. Also a cool bike. Her previous bike was also blue.

For appearance, I am also a big fan of low key graphics. Tell me the make and model of the bike, but don't get too flashy with unnecessary use of contrasting colors. The bigger bike companies are getting really bad about that lately.
