At your height & weight I would look at something like this.

X Fusion Shox - RL2

With the Uni Crown it will be nice & stiff at the top of the fork.

With the 34mm fork legs they are stiff, & less likely to flex & stop the legs from sliding through the bushings & binding.

Just think about when going down hill & turning on a tight bend & most of your weight goes on the front end.

When a fork flex's it is harder for it to work smooth, Also on that switch back think of that side load going onto that front wheel that isn't the stiffest.

Light gear seams nice but gear that is well up to the job is better in the long run.

I would look at building up a wheel set with the Light bike carbon rims.
I can vouch for this. Totally correct on what he's saying. The line that you can hold with this set up is amazing. I've been riding this fork for about 3 weeks now and its only breaking in. I've found my sweet spot with air pressure and Wow what a difference it made coming form a Fox 32 RLC.

Sweet bike there pascale, hows the build coming alone?

I'm waiting on my new alloy jet; I have the complete XT group and fork, a WB Loop, seat. Just need the wheels, frame and some of the finishing kit. Hopefully by mid January I'll be riding it.

So far so good, 2 rides in 1 day, 2 different spots. Since it's a small gotta find a "side opening" bottle cage and still waiting on XT pedals. My seat post to bar length is identical to my Misfit hardtail but feels a bit more crammed. Might trying dropping the bars down a spacer or 2 before cutting the steerer tube or going w a 20mm longer stem. Bike handles really well for not being familiar w it yet. Love the 120mm SID fork. Might take the Ignitor of the rear wheel (used tire) and go mtn king 2.2 front and rear.

Yea if you just move the seat back in the rails a little bit, you will probably feel right at home and it will help you lift the front easier too. Remember that as you move the seat back, you generally need to move the post down some also in order to keep the leg length constant. This will probably make you also want to lower the stem a spacer or too which not only moves the bar down, but out a small amount. All of this together will actually put you lower on the bike and lower your center of gravity some, which is an added benefit. And since the seat and bars are now further apart you are better able to transfer weight front to back. I have always found fit an iterative process and even though I have solid starting positions on a new bike, it still generally takes several hundred miles of small tweeks before I feel dialed.

yeah I'm gonna try moving the seat back on the rails and dropping the stem a spacer or 2 before cutting the steerer tube. I guess I just got lucky when setting up the Misfit, all I really had to do was flip the stem to get a perfect fit.
