I'm going through chains too fast. The last chain, a SRAM Pc1051 only lasted a little over 100 miles before it measured .75.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the strongest 10 speed chain out there for a 29er MB? One that won't stretch so fast, and will last the longest?

Just noticed, the SRAM 1051 was the worst chain in the test.
ummm the wipperman was... get right down to it they all had bad and good models.. the KMC's were the most consistent middle of the road. also the test isn't adding and side to side movement and wear..

I haven't bothered with 10 speed as the 2x9 is perfect for me and the terrain here but I've had them all and KMC wins out hands down in 9's chains, with WIppleman and Shimano being at the bottom.

Pick up a machinist's ruler and double-check the results you're getting from your chain wear gauge.

I've noticed that SRAM chains tend to measure a little long out of the box. I still buy them because they're cheap and I think that there's something nonlinear that happens with wear - I don't think I actually get less wear life from them, or not by much. Also, I find the power link convenient.
