On the fence for the purchase of another xc-race/light trail wheelset for the new frame build. Currently riding the Cheap Chinese Carbon wide 29er rims built up as 1550 gram, but with a rear hub that is not XX1 nor 12x142 compatible.
One option is the American Classic Race which weighs about 1430 grams and is wide, claimed to be very stiff, even stiffer than the ZTR Flows. Or wait a month or two for the AC Wide Lightning 32mm rims which weigh about 1530 grams and cost a bit less.
Wondering if anyone went the route of non-carbon for their next set and had buyer's remorse especially when the CCC rims are relatively inexpensive, but still expensive compared to the likes of a Pacenti TL25 or TL28.
