Combine GPS data and POV video

I'd like to introduce to MTBR community site that can combine GPS data and POV video in one 3D player. Final effect here:

What is needed to create this kind of experience:

1. Action cam with build in GPS module (ContourGPS, Contour+2, etc)
2. Action cam and separate GPS module(every action cam + almost every GPS device, best works with Garmins (we support only gpx and tcx file types)

Steps to create synchronized action cam video with GPS data:

1. Create video and GPS file during Your activity
2. Upload video to YouTube
3. Upload GPS file to gps4sport.com and connect it with Youtube video.

Please let me know what You think, this system was primary intended for bicycle use, but now we have several different types of activites, including even wingsuit flight.

This is very cool. The Storyteller program with the Contour +2 doesn't seem to do the GPS data justice.

Give Dashware a crack. It works perfectly with Contour footage. Just upload the video into the software, and it will extract the GPS data and overlay it in dashboard widgets on the video. You can then export the video and edit it in your favourite editing suite.

You can even upload your FIT files from your Garmin or Magellan GPS to include HR, Cadence etc in your videos.

It is not free, but what it can do is well worth the $40USD

This is a video we put together using Dashware with some GoPro footage and a FIT file straight out of a Magellan Switch GPS.
