Please no fat tires as they wont fit in a normal fork/frame.

Im looking to find the largest diameter/volume "normal" 26" tires. Is it hans dampf 2.35? ikon 2.3? ardent 2.4? conti king 2.4?

Looking for a size that will get me to 26.75 or even 27" outer diameter.

thanks!

Maxxis DH-F are a fantastic tire and measured out at just over 27" for me on a pair of Crossmax XL's (not a really wide rim).

I've had Hans Dampfs in 29". They are definitely a high volume tire but i don't think they're as "tall" as the DH-F's.

Depends on the frame/fork. I have some that will fit a 26x3.0 tire and others that will not. All are "normal" frames and forks. Same goes for some of the 2.4 tires I have.

What Shiggy said. Your rims play a big role in how big your tires will be. A 2.25 tire on one rim could be substantially bigger than a 2.4 tire on another rim.

For large volume light weight tires that have descent traction:
Conti Race King 2.2" supersonic 26.75", 446 grams. Mounted on Enve XC rim.
Rocket Ron Evo 2.4" 26.75", 490 grams. On Light-bicycle Carbon UST wide rim.
I was able to weigh both of these tires before purchasing as both are under the claimed weight.

Just like to add, I measured my 2.4 rocket ron evo tyre on my 1st gen crossmax v brake rim and it comes to 27 inch. Will try and get a picture if anyone is still interested. Was hoping to get the 2.4 on the back too but the frame stays we're not wide enough. Gutted! Went for a ride with that setup and it was great! Need a ti frame with a wider rear stay. Didn't realise how much the rim made a difference unless my tyre is abnormally big for a 2.4 rocket ron? It weighed in at 545g where it said 530g on the box. Also these rims are 1st gen crossmax are not UST rims, which is probably making the 0.25 inch difference.

Very interesting I must say.
