I bought one, and its awesome. I'm a BIG guy and I worried about the frame strength, but after 3 months I have NO doubts. I rode the santa cruz tallboy, niner jet-9 2 star, salsa horsethief 3, gaint anthem, marin rift zone, specialized camber, dbr sortie, gt sensor, khs flagstaff, trek fuel, and others I can't remember and I had a hard time finding a bike as smooth or as flickable in the turns. Honestly the closest contender was the DBR sortie oddly enough!

But I am VERY happy with my choice, before this bike I've NEVER heard of Orbea. But now I spread the word!

HI Guys,

I havent posted a whole lot, but have been riding for a very long time, and also have a very bad addiction to turning bikes over far too quickly...

I had the 2013 carbon occam 29er with:
Fox Talas 120mm - ctd
Reverb
Mavic SLR
SRAm 2 x 10 with grip shift

Best bike i ve ever ridden - extremly fast, smooth, and agile.

Reason i sold it - the birdsnest of cables from fork, shock, droppper = 7 cables on the handlebar...like a farkin birdnest. Just couldnt get used to it, would have way preferred the trail aldjust version. but that was just me being fussy.

Two buddy's have the H30 with Xt spec, and trail adj on the shock and Fork, and both love their bikes. There is not a huge weight penalty on the carbon / hydro frame either.

Back on my ventana El Rey, while i wait for my new buid (ellsworth Evolve) and it is very average (especially climbs) compared to the Occam. miss that bike.

Enjoy
