I changed out my rear tire yesterday for a more appropiate gravel grinder and in the process found a thorn hole in the tube. I ended up pumping the tire up 4 times. I don't have an air compressor at my at my clinic so I used my floor pump, which I thought was a higher volume pump. Are there any pumps out there that work better on these 4 inch tires or am I just a wimpy, lazy old man?
(Will spring ever come to the midwest?)

Joe Blow Mountain is a high volume pump.

Spring will never come, or at least stay. Looks like another straight from winter to summer year again. Yay Nebraska!

I wouldn't spend any more cash on a floor pump, get a cheap plug in portable compressor. They run about $35 at Home Improvement stores.

I just picked up a Lezyne HV pump. Makes a huge difference.

I would agree with nakedbabytoes. I own more than one large compressor but I most often use an emergency rechargeable air compressor that has a built in gauge.

Something like this:
