From what I have read, it may or may not work. I don't think its typically recommended though, but that may have more to do with the fact that a lot of people inclined to run tubeless think that wire bead tires are inferior. I'm going to guess that you don't have tubeless rims (like me) so you will have to use a tubeless kit anyway. The Stan's kit comes with way more sealant than you need to do the initial conversion, so if the wire bead tires don't work, you'll only be out some sealant. I bought tubeless tires, but they're not real cheap. Coat me about $150 to convert. I have a feeling that the wire bead tires may be tough seat and you will have to use an air compressor. I think I could have used a frame pump for mine. So, it's worth a shot, just know that you may end up having to buy new tires anyway.
