Their hubs look like they are made by Quando. If that is the case, I spent three years trying to kill a set of cheap cup and cone bearing Quando hubs on a 29er. Other than servicing the bearings, I did nothing else. The were still running smooth three years later. They weren't light, they had low engagement (16 poe), but they were durable.

They do offer different types of hubs. I have a set of wheels that were built with P35 rims on sealed bearing Origin8 hubs. The rear is a single speed model with a small freehub body. They've been awesome for a year now. Roll smooth and have had zero issues.
 
i just counted POE on them...i got 26 as i recall

just computed the wheelset weight i plan to build

origin8 - 497g pair approx
crest 29er - 400g each approx
dtswiss revo 64 spokes with nipples - approx 384

wheelset is going to be 1681g approx

whatcha guys think?
